Minutes of November 10th, 2011 Meeting
 
The November 10th meeting was held at Cheers II where the meal was donated by Cheers II.  The meeting was called to order by Dave Streif.
 
The minutes of the October meeting were mailed to each member.  Pat Gotzinger made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Brad Hood.  Motion carried
 
Bill Bahl made a motion to approve the treasurer’s reports, seconded by Bonita Gotzinger.  Motion carried.
 
Committee Reports: 
            Trails--- The Ellenboro trail section is being put in.  Mt. Hope section there is a ramp that was built.  Faron Yanna and Dave Streif’s sections are about done.  Beetown section is about done.  Start signing whenever possible but check with the landowners first.  Mike Hahn has a couple bulls in his pasture and he wants nobody near there until after deer hunting and the bulls are out of there.
            Groomer Committee----#2 groomer is still in shed and it will get moved to Brad and Jack’s shop soon so that the oil can all get changed.  #1 groomer is ready to go.
            County Assoc—Lloyd attended the AWSC convention and there was a seminar on club insurance to see what the liabilities are, and what does the county insurance cover.  Club insurance was suggested to indemnify each club landowner which is $10 a landowner.  This is going to be brought up at the county association meeting to discuss.
            The CapStep program is going to be reintroduced.  The CapStep program is for non-club members to pay a $35 registration fee.     The Wisconsin Snowmobile News magazine will now be on the internet two weeks after publication and may help promote club membership will try this for a year.
There was a County Trail Map committee meeting on Tuesday November 15th at Doolittles to go over the map and get everything figured out.
 
Raffle—Still have raffle tickets to sell.  Anyone interested in helping the club raise money please get with Kari to get the tickets.  This is a great fundraiser for the club.  The drawing will be held on February 25th which is also the party for the Fun Run at Yoder’s. 
 
Fun Run through Yoder’s that also helps our club out started November 14th and goes through February 25th.  Party is on the 25th of February in conjunction with our raffle drawing.  Kari has booklets available at the meeting if anyone is interested in purchasing them.  They are $15 a person
 
Poker Run Committee---There also has been some discussion through the poker run committee at possibly having a club ride in January or February with a bonfire.
 
Brad Hood and Jack McLimans did some dozing work on the Ellenboro trail in Bart Axtell’s and the total bill would be $671.98.  They would like just the fuel paid and their memberships paid for and then they will donate the rest.  Brad Hood also donated the winter wheat and pasture grass to use on that location.  Dan Hampton made a motion to pay just the fuel bill and their memberships, Bob Clauer seconded it.  Motion carries.
 
Dan Hampton also brought up that we had 3 banners made that says “Thank You Landowners-  Snoopy Sno Goers” to be put out on the trail in different locations.
 
Dave Streif made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Heidi Loy.  Motion carries

Minutes of October 13, 2011 Meeting
 
The October 13, 2011 meeting was held at Home-A-Gins where the meal was donated by Home-A-Gins.  The meeting was called to order by Dave Streif.
 
The minutes of the September 8, 2011 meeting were mailed to each member.  Pat Gotzinger made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Bill Bahl.  Motion carried
 
Bonita Gotzinger made a motion to approve the treasurer’s reports, seconded by Robin McLimans.  Motion carried.
 
Committee Reports: 
            Trails--- Signs have been ordered and should be coming any day now.  On the Ellenboro trail section we have to go out and around Roger Taylor’s hayfield as that is new seeding.
            Groomer Committee----Nothing at this time.
            County Assoc—The County is doing a new map this year and some of the clubs are still short on selling spots.  Our club still has a few ads to get and should have all of ours done within the next week or two.  Anyone having a photograph they would like to put on the front of the map please submit to the county association or Lloyd and there will be a committee choosing which photograph to use.

Poker Run Committee---Dan and Kari Hampton, Pat and Bonita Gotzinger, Dave and Kim Streif, Ken and Jeanne Sue, along with Tim Bennett and Louise Gotzinger.   Pat Gotzinger made a motion for the Poker Run to be held on February 4, 2012, Dan Hampton seconded it.  Motion carries.  Poker Run Committee will be getting together to start setting up details.
 
Fenmore Hills would like to get a trail to their hotel.  Kari had spoken to Jim Dresen regarding this and he had stated he has gotten the okay from all the landowners and will have a trail in to their location.  Lloyd stated Dean Harville from Boscobel is also working on getting a trail to Fenmore Hills.
 
Lloyd Runde also brought up our trail budget for this year will now include the 2 miles to Mt. Hope and will be $11,038.65.
 
Cassville and Potosi clubs have both purchased groomers and drags.

Minutes of September 8, 2011 Meeting
 
The September 8, 2011 meeting was held at Doolittle’s Jury Room.  The meeting was called to order by Dave Streif.
 
The minutes of the April 2011 meeting were mailed to each member.  Bill Bahl made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Al Streif.  Motion carried
 
April and May through August treasurer’s reports and the yearend financial reports were mailed to each member.  Dan Hampton made a motion to approve the treasurer’s reports, seconded by Bill Bahl.  Motion carried.
 
Committee Reports: 
            Trails--- Getting to be the season. There are a few gates to put in on the Mt. Hope trail.  There are some possible changes on the Ellenboro trail.  Lloyd Runde brought up that Roger Taylor has new seeding and we need to find a new route around or else on the Ellenboro trail.  We also had a land owner on the Mt. Hope trail pass away over the summer-Marilyn Divine.
            Groomer Committee---- The joy stick on groomer 1 needs to be fixed otherwise everything is good.
            County Assoc—The County is publishing a new trail map and all map ads have to be in by the October meeting.  State has given us the same amount of funding this year as previous years.  No additional money will be available as everyone in Grant County is over budget.

We had a memorial of Eunice Zenz and the AWSC convention is on November 4-6th.  Wabeno is hosting a MS snowmobile tour the end of January.  Harvest Festival Parade is on October 1st a 1 p.m.  Pat Gotzinger made a motion to do the float, seconded by Kim Streif.  Motion carries.   We will be putting the float together on September 30th at Dan and Kari’s house.
 
Poker Run---We need to get discussing having the poker run this year and maybe possibly having a vintage sled ride with the poker run.  Kari Hampton made a motion, seconded by Al Streif.  Committee to form next meeting.  Motion carries.
 
Sign inventory we need to get some new seeding signs and blazers.  Bill Bahl will be taking care of ordering up more stakes and signs.  Dan Hampton made a motion and Bob Clauer seconded it.  Motion carries.
 
Membership dues—Single $20, Family $30, Secondary $10—Bill Bahl made a motion to leave the same, Dan Hampton seconded.  Motion carries.
 
Bob Clauer brought up that Cassville’s club is buying a groomer and they are wondering if our club would be willing to sell or borrow out our extra tracks.  Dave stated to sell no, Bill Bahl said no as then we wouldn’t have any extras if our own groomers needed them.
 
Election of Officers took place for the 2011-2012 season.  Nominations for President, Dave Streif motion made by Pat Gotzinger, seconded by Kari Hampton.  Motion carries.
 
Nominations for Vice President—Pat Gotzinger motion made by Al Streif, seconded by Dan Hampton.  Motion carries.
 
Nominations for Sec/treasurer---Kari Hampton nominated by Dave Streif seconded by Bonita Gotzinger.  Motion carries.
 
Nominations for trail master—Bill Bahl nominated by Randy Bahl seconded by Pat Gotzinger.  Motion carries.
 
Nominations for 3 board of directors:  Kari Hampton made a motion to leave it the same, Al Streif seconded it.  Motion carries.  They are Brad Hood, Jim Dresen, and Dan Hampton
 
Nominations for Groomer Committee:  Randy Bahl made a motion to add Chris Wheeler and eliminate Jeremy Gengler.  Al Streif seconded it.  Motion carries.  They are Randy Bahl, Bill Bahl, Dan Hampton, Brad Hood, Bob Clauer, and Chris Wheeler.
 
Nominations for County Association Reps:  Donna Runde nominated Lloyd Runde, Pat Gotzinger nominated Dan Hampton, Pat Gotzinger nominated by Bonita Gotzinger.  Pat Gotzinger received 10 votes, Lloyd Runde received 12 votes and Dan Hampton received 11 votes.  For Reps we have Lloyd Runde and Dan Hampton.
 
Al Streif made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Kari Hampton.
